Cole was born in Houston, Texas where he lived until 2000 when he moved to Austin to attend St. Edward's University. After graduating in 2004 with a degree in communications, Cole started his banking career and has been a central Texas lender for the past 15 years. In 2008, he again attended St. Edward’s University and achieved a graduate degree specializing in Corporate Finance.
Throughout his finance career Cole has focused solely on real estate in the Houston, San Antonio and central Texas region, specializing in Single Family Residence (SFR), land, and multifamily projects. In addition to his career in finance, he has also purchased and managed several SFR and multifamily properties in the Austin area. With his experience on both the finance and buyer side of the market, Cole recognized the need for financing that traditional banks were unable to provide. As a result, he built Verco Lending to meet the needs of qualified buyers that didn't quite fit the box of traditional lending.
Vernon C. Henry is a seasoned investor, entrepreneur, and finance professional with a strong background in oil and gas, real estate, and private lending. He holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Rice University and has spent his career analyzing, acquiring, and managing high-value investment opportunities.
Vernon began his career in oil and gas, where he developed expertise in title analysis, negotiation, and asset management. He later transitioned into acquisitions and divestitures, overseeing multi-billion-dollar transactions across global markets. His deep understanding of deal structuring, risk assessment, and financial modeling has allowed him to build and scale multiple investment-focused businesses.
With a proven track record in sourcing and executing successful real estate and energy investments, Vernon applies the same disciplined approach to lending. His ability to identify strong opportunities, mitigate risk, and structure deals efficiently makes him a trusted partner for investors and borrowers alike.
